Today was one of these days, I went for two jobs, and one was at a Frozen Yogurt joint, and the other and a Paper Store. First I went to the frozen Yogurt place, there add said to be there at 8:30 sharp, and there were about 25 people waiting, filling out applications. I sat myself down among the teenagers, there was only one other old guy in the room. When the time came to get instructions the two of us where taken out and the owner asked strait faced what we are thinking applying for the job, you are too old, and the kids don’t like working with older people. The other guy left I stayed just wanted to hear what he had to say. It was nothing important, he just wanted everyone to know that he is an attorney and has 3 offices in the state, and his son is running the show. In the afternoon I found another position at Craiglist.com, near where I live, at the Kelly Paper store. I downloaded the application and completed it and e-mailed it to the head office and took the original to the store, where I met one of my former colleges at CompUSA. So we will see what comes of that.
