Well, it’s not like we never work, as was suggested by a friend reading our blog. In fact, we are in the process of moving the GENI office into a new space in downtown San Diego, and this takes a lot of packing and organizing. So when we have time, we like to play. That can mean planting stuff in the garden, weeding and then, of course, partying. To me this seems more interesting, which is why I concentrate on that in the blog.
For example, last weekend we made a trip the Santa Ynez, where Patricia grew up. It was great to share this with our friends, Wendy and Tom. We left home Friday morning with our first stop in Oxnard where we always eat at this little Mexican place called Arco Iris (Rainbow).

We love to stop there for there great tortas, and Wendy & Tom seemed to enjoy it too. |
Then we ran into some unusual traffic but went on our way slowly but steadily |
Our first photographing stop was at this store in Goleta, next to UCSD. It was the best I had seen in a long time. |
I have never seen so many Orchids in my life, and everywhere we looked, it was more beautiful then the last. |
This is one I would not mind having. |
And then they are at it again. I have no idea what they are seeing until I see the pictures. |
I took this out of the car window as we were driving up the mountain. I must have looked pretty stupid, but he was a beautiful steer. |
See if you can find Tom and Patricia lying around the field taking ground shots! |
Near Solvang, there is a place called Quicksilver Ranch that raises miniature horses. They are very cute - even the ones ready to foal, and I think everyone should have one. |
Our last stop on this trip was the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden. Absolutely beautiful with lots of big trees and nice walks. Then, we were on our way back from having had a great weekend with good friends. |
