I am still at home at 6 am waiting for someone to give me a lift to the shop.
We had a busy day yesterday, Sunday, getting everything ready, the last bits that had to be done before opening, like taking the coffee machine apart. But seriously, there were a lot of little things like getting the fryer and hot plate ready, so we can make the biggest and best Burgers along the coast:>) In any case, the place looks like a real Cafe shop, and Rosie’s will be the center of a 400 population town.
Patricia, in the meantime, is looking after our well being in regards to food, preparing great meals every evening, and some of the time we get desert.
It is now Wednesday already, and I have not managed to get this blog up on line. Yesterday afternoon, Malcolm took us on a ride in the four wheel drive up to a nearby mountain. it was beautiful, and we could see the full expanse of the land to the ocean. Patricia took lots of pictures you can view on her Picasa site soon.
Down at the shop, the everyday routine is starting to set in; also there is always lots to do, plenty of new jobs.
On the farm, we are having fun with the Cats, Dog and the Horses; I try to talk to them once a day.
This is it for now; I did put some more pictures on Picasa. There are two albums. One is On the Farm, and the other one is Rosie's.
We need an update!
ReplyDeleteEven some of my comments are not appearing. You two must be very busy, but we need to hear good news... I am so concerned about the flooding. As best as I can figure, you may be well south of the worst, but then they talk about how widespread the devastation is, and I cannot find more detailed accounts.
Happy New Year!
