Sunday, Malcolm bought us a Mercedes-1982. All I can say is that it drives, and I think that is the most important part of any car. The first day, I had to fix the exhaust; it was dragging on the ground. I was lucky the thing didn't beak off. Today, I fixed the sunroof; it would not close, so I cut the cable and closed it manually and held it up with some wooden blogs. And all the time, I was thinking, "this the way our friend Guido would fix it."
By now we are in the last phase of the Coffee Shop project. The rough building is done and the paint is on, and now it's the little things which take most of the time to finish. Next week we will be cooking with gas, meaning the kitchen will be in action, and we will get the word out and business in.
Patricia is working many hours on GENI projects, and that seems to work well from a distance, and we do sometimes miss the interaction at the office.
Wednesday, we put the finishing paint on the walls in the Cafe; now we are waiting for the builder to put down the flooring, and we can start putting it all together and hopefully open up next week. It has been way too long, and there has not been any real business going on while renovations are happening. And it was not the week to open for business. As I said, it may be next week. There is always something else going on. I just want to sell things rather than renovate.
