It's coming together

Slowly but surely, the shop is coming together. After all the ripping out of walls and floor, we are now in the process of putting it all together again.  The floor is down; the ceiling is up and the walls are on. Now comes the part I like best: the detailing, sanding and painting. With some luck, we will be open for business next week, and then we hope the customers come back, so we can pay for all of this.

The last two days, we had Anne and Peter, Lorrischka's brother, visiting the farm. They are on a short trip with there RV and heading back home to Condoberlin in the outback next week.

We visited them four years ago and saw the vast sunburned country.

I am not getting much time on the farm, but the time I do get is great, very relaxing and quiet, except for the melodious chorus of the birds at 5 in the morning.

Friday Janet (my aunt), Erik and Marley visited and had a look at the shop and checked out the farm, and I think they liked what they saw.

Now it is just an agonizing wait on getting everything to the point where we can paint, letting it dry and starting to install the furniture, so we are back in business.
In the meantime, Patricia took last night off from the kitchen, and Luke made a great dinner for about 12 people. We had a great time just hanging out with families and friends for a few hours in the evening. So there goes another week on the farm.
