The first week

The time is going way too fast; now we have already been here three days. We arrived on Monday and steeled in very fast. I have been working in the store every day, just to get a lay of the land and see what's going on, and where I could be of some use. Patricia is working with Lorrischka reorganizing her pantry and kitchen drawers and starting to cook like we eat at home, the healthy way. Lorrischka and Luke bought the local general store and are now in the process fixing it up and turning it into a little Coffee Shop com Restaurant for the locals and visitors from afar and bigger towns like Taree and Port Macquarie.

The area around here is very beautiful, green and lush. Lorrischka and Luke's house is new, modern and very big, and there are Kangaroos and Wallabies all over the place at certain tim

es of the day.

Now it's been over a week and surprise surprise, I am still not tired of doing demolition and a little bit of construction work with Luke. This last weekend, we had Malcolm and Ian up here from Narabeen doing a great job fixing-plumbing a bathroom and Malcolm doing a lot of changing hats between being a electrician, then a plumber, then a carpenter and whatever else was needed. Now the shop looks big and empty, and tomorrow the builder will

pull up the floor and start putting up the walls and the ceiling and so on. I am not just working. I also go for some outings, like Luke is taking me to the tip to get rid of the trash, or last week we went to Port Macquarie for a food expo. I concentrated my effort on the cake displays.

Patricia is taking great pictures on her extended walks and cooking up a storm for dinner every night, Lorrischka has a spacious kitchen, and she seems to be having fun working in it.

So needless to say, all is happy and going well.
