As I was walking along the beach looking up to her houses on the rich of the cliff I was thinking how we always try to defend ourselves against something and we have to give in at the end.
My thoughts go to Europe way back a few centuries ago, when the royalty build big fortresses to defend against there enemies and in some way also against there own people.
Then there is the Chinese wall, the Berlin wall and then there are borders between countries, none of which will protect in the end, the only thing that will protect us is to live in harmony with others.
That to some extend means that we are also interested in there well being and there happiness.
When I look at the walls we build against the ocean, so that the cliffs don’t crumple into the ocean, because the see level is rising, or whatever, because we insist of building houses on the edge of the cliff, somehow I think that the same rules apply.
They will not last, until we learn to live in harmony with nature and not try to fight the natural course of it.
