Random Thought 1
It’s been over a week now since I turned 62, I am officially, according to the some institutions, a senior, and sometime around now I am starting to think about what I want to be when I grow up.
Last week I had a conversation with a successful CPA, who told me in no uncertain terms that he does not want to pay for people s retirement just because they had not made the right decisions, like he had, in live.
I am one of the suckers who at times made the wrong decision from an economic standpoint.
In years gone by I would have agreed with his point, at that time I was well of financially, and then I did make other live choices which got me to the point where I may have to relay in future days on people like him to bail me out in order for me to have the essentials of live.
The one thing I am pondering about is what is different between then and now, sometime in the past we had families, in some cases, taking care of the elderly, the young and the sick, now that is left to society. In most cases the Family structure does not exist any more for whatever reason, and in a lot of cases we have nothing firm to stand in for that.
I need to think a bit more about this.
