First day in Stuttgart

After sleeping for twelve hours, it was time to hit the road, but first Eva called us at about 8 am that breakfast was ready. So upstairs we went where she had prepared a great spread of fruit and muesli fit for a king.
Strengthened, we set off to discover the sites of Stuttgart. The weather was just great, and Eva's place is only 3 miles from the center of town, a great walking distance for us.
With no specific destination in mind, we just walked up the Koening Strasse, a one mile pedestrian street and center of town.
After we had a sandwich and a poppyseed cake, I took Patricia to Breuninger Department-store, where I used to work for a few months way back in 1993.
The elevator is located in the middle of the store.

We loved the bedding section, but we could not lay down.

Lovely street cafes are everywhere.

From there we visited one of Stuttgart's major attractions, 'Die Markt Halle', an indoor market place where lots of different nationalities meet. Again a place where Patricia went nuts with the camera, and I loved the food and the sweets.
Dates stuffed with nuts and all sorts of things.

Food everywhere

One Passion fruit cost 1.75 Euro; we could have financed our trip
with what we have at Michal's place.

If you're looking for any spice, it's here.

When we finally got back to Eva and Bernd's place, Eva prepared light snacks and some red to enjoy in the garden.
Life is good

How can anyone do this to a Chocoholic like me.

So we finished the day with my eating about a pound of chocolate.
