Sunday morning started with a ferry ride from Kingston to Edmonds, a short drive north of Seattle. Diana had warned us of construction at the harbour in Seattle, so we took her advice and landed in Edmonds; then the sightseeing began.
Patricia had wanted to revisit the University of Washington, her alma mater (for grad school at least), especially to see if her old hunting grounds for boletus mushrooms along the canal in back of the Fisheries school was still there. It was; however, it was covered with ivy and blackberry brambles, so no mushrooms to be found.
Next we admired the Chihuly glass art, a great exhibition, at the Seattle Center; just don't ever ask me to dust any of it.
Pike Place Market was great, lots of opportunities for pictures, and a very fun place.
By 3 we were hungry, so we went back to the University district and found Ivar's Salmon House, which Patricia had frequented back in the day on special occasions. Fabulous salmon dinner!
Now it was time to check out the next Air BnB for the night.
