At first Vinsobres seemed to be just a beautiful little town in the middle of nowhere, and I could have never been more wrong. This area is steeped in Roman history, vast but small vineyards each domaine with it's own Cave, olive orchards and 'moulins' as well as nougat and fragrant fields of lavender (which give many local businesses their 'bleu' name), all connected with winding roads to the nearest hub of 'urban' activity. Market places abound in Provence Camargue. We visited one in Vaison and tomorrow go to one in Nyons.
The weather is fantastic, high 80s to low 90s, and everyone here is very friendly and understanding if I just pull a face of not understanding what they say.
