Today was a time for history lessons. We visited
Valley Forge where George Washington's army wintered in 1777 and then,in the following years, defeated the British and gained independence and our freedom from the Monarchy. I said to Patricia, if they had not fought that fight we may have ended up like Australia or Canada still part of the commonwealth, attached to England.
In any case, it was very interesting, and I now have read a lot about that time in American history.
We also visited the
George Washington Memorial Chapel on the grounds, mainly to take pictures for our friend Wendy who's parents were married there.
