Our friends Whitney and Don invited me to join them on their trip. Whitney, who has Alzheimers, is going to live there in a excellent care home. Don found the place, Cielitolindo, through friends who already live in San Miguel and visited in January and loved it.
We got there on Tuesday, the 29th, and right from the minute we arrived, Whitney was taking charge and talking to the other guests there, and participating in the activities as they unfolded.
I was almost tempted to move in as well.

Every night, they empty the pools and use the water to irrigate the gardens, and next morning, they fill the pools again with warm well water.
The staff in the home is great. They take loving care of each guest and keep them busy with activities and exercises all day long, and what's important to me, the food seems to be very good as well. I very quickly became acquainted with the chef, and he made us breakfast. Yum.
Once Whitney settled in, Don and I left to go to downtown San Miguel where we were staying. For more on that, stay tuned.
