Lunch at GENI

Yesterday we had a great lunch at GENI, that is where Patricia works, GENI has interns and volunteers from all over the world, so they have come up with the idea to once a month have a lunch in the office, where everyone will bring a plate, preferable with one of there national dishes. It was a great success, we had chairs placed in a circle and everyone talked in turn, telling there name, how they found out about GENI and what there project at GENI is. I was very impressed by the caliber of young people there, and how they expressed themselves. I got to bring a Linzer Torte, and that went down very well. I was especially intrigued be what Alison cooked, she brought eggs and tofu, she socked the eggs and the squares of tofu in a mixture of sugar and soy sauce, and then cooked them for 2 days. Patricia made some rice and a garbanzo bean dish, and I made some rita. All in all it was a great lunch and I will be there as much as I can, not just for the food.
