Coastel/Heartland USA
Patricia, my wife, suggested a great idea, considering that there seems to be such marked philosophical differences in the country that show up especially at election time.
Perhaps we should split the USA into two nations: one would be the United Coastal Nation and the other the Heartland Nation.
The Coastal nation, made up of all east and west coast states (the Gulf States of course would go to the Heartland), would leave the Heartland, the middle states, to do and teach whatever they like, and visa versa.
If the Heart Landers want to visit the coasts, they need to know how to use the Internet, a cell phone, ipod and get up to speed with scientific theories such as evolution and that the world is no longer flat nor has four corners.
When the Coasters visit the Heartland, they need to read there bible and take the cross out of the kitchen draw and curtail all that sex, since abstinence would be the law.
There would be an initial dislocation as all stereotypes are not 100%, but with people moving to their more appropriate homeland, it would spur the housing market and stimulate the economy. We could also spend twice a as much $$ on elections since we would now be two different countries.
